James T. 'Nate' Nathan

After graduating from Arizona State University in 1976, Nate began his career at Tom Fannin Realty, where he worked as an associate until founding Nathan & Associates, Inc. in December of 1980. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Nate lives in Paradise Valley with his wife and two sons. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the ULI Community Development Council (Gold Flight). Nate is also a member of Lambda Alpha International, the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona, Valley Partnership and several other organizations.
David G. Mullard

Dave joined Nathan & Associates, Inc. in 1985 and has become an expert working with national homebuilders, master-plan developers, and lot developers. He focuses on maximizing land values by understanding product segmentation and niching, which results in higher pricing and absorption. A native of Portland, Oregon and an Arizona State University graduate, Dave lives with his wife and three children in Paradise Valley. He is a member of ICSC.
Sean T. Gillespie
Sales Associate
Sean has 27 years of experience in commercial real estate. He began his career as a runner at Grubb & Ellis, moving on to L.J. Hooker International before joining Nathan & Associates, Inc. in 1986. Sean specializes in working with retail and industrial users for sales and leasing of acreage and pads. He also has extensive experience with homebuilders and multi-family developers, and is the firm's government state land specialist. Sean has experience in master plan consulting on commercial projects in the Houston and El Paso Texas areas.
Sean is also active in the Green Building and recycling movement and is a founding board member of the U.S. Green Building Council's (USGBC) Chihuahuan Desert Chapter and is experienced with LEED construction and neighborhood development. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Active in many charities, Sean has been a board member of the non-profit Scottsdale League for the Arts for the past six years.
Sean attended Brophy Preparatory in Phoenix and received his BS/BAM and MBA from the University of Phoenix in 1991. He also holds a certificate in Spanish language from the Cuahunahuac Institute of Language in Mexico. Sean enjoys sailing in his free time and is a licensed skipper with extensive sailing experience.
Courtney C. Buck

Courtney’s focus is on large portfolios, master-planned communities and commercial properties. She was instrumental in the disposition of the Daimler-Chrysler Proving Grounds and General Motors Proving Grounds. In addition, she has worked closely with many of the Valley’s long-time farming families in the disposition and acquisition of their land holdings. Courtney joined the firm in 1991 shortly before graduating from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing. Courtney serves on the Board of Directors for the FBI Citizens’ Academy and is an Auxiliary Board member of notMYkid. She lives with her husband and two children in Paradise Valley.
Joseph M. Colucci

Active and licensed in the Arizona real estate market for over 26 years, Joe has established relationships with investors, builders, and master planned community developers. From 1982 to 1984 Joe worked for American Continental Corporation and also owned his own land brokerage company. In 1992 he began work with Nathan & Associates, Inc. Joe has established relationships with farmers and dairymen; guiding them through the zoning and planning process, and with the disposition of their zoned property to developers and builders. Joe received his BS in Business Management from St. John Fisher College.
Ray H. Rodey, III

Running his own brokerage firm in Colorado has served Ray well as he is responsible for closely working with local homebuilders and master-plan developers, as well as monitoring several outlying area projects. Ray graduated from Arizona State University in 1977 and joined the firm in 1992. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, he now lives in Scottsdale with his wife and two children.
Casey S. Christensen

Casey graduated from the University of Arizona with BS degrees in Economics and Finance. Following graduation, he joined Nathan & Associates, Inc. in 1999. Casey is responsible for working with both public and private homebuilders, investors and developers on the acquisition and disposition of master-planned communities and residential subdivisions throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area. Originally from Ogden, Utah, Casey now lives with his wife and two daughters in Phoenix, Arizona.
Ryan J. Duncan

Ryan graduated from Utah State University with bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Marketing. He attended USU on a full ride athletic scholarship. Following graduation in 2001, he joined Arizona Land Advisors working there until 2010. Since 2002, Ryan has been responsible for the acquisition and disposition of parcels and subdivisions throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area working with investors, developers, and home builders from across the Country. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Ryan is a fourth generation native and now lives with his wife and daughter in the Tempe area. Ryan is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI), East Valley Partnership and various community-based organizations.

Dan began his career with the Land Advisors Organization (September 2001 to December 2010) specializing in Pinal County. In December 2010 Dan joined Nathan & Associates, Inc., specializing in master planned communities, multi-family, commercial, industrial, agricultural and speculative transactions in the greater Phoenix area. Originally from Elkhart, Indiana and an Arizona State University graduate, Dan lives in Paradise Valley with his wife, son and daughter. He is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Pinal Partnership, Pinal County Water Element Citizen Task Force, Central Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation (CAREDF), Habitat for Humanity and personally involved in the Susan G. Komen Foundation along with coaching little league baseball and soccer in his local community.
Amy K. Waters
Executive Assistant to the President
Joining Nathan & Associates, Inc. in 1989, Amy quickly rose to Assistant to the President. Besides being Nate's 'right hand,' Amy is also responsible for the company's accounting and bookkeeping, advertising, hr, office management, escrow file tracking and development of company marketing. A native of Arizona, Amy raises her two children in Scottsdale. In her free time she enjoys playing tennis and traveling.
Valerie A. Haupt

A graduate of Michigan State University with a BA in Hospitality Business, Valerie is responsible for researching important information to make sure each deal become a success. After moving to the Valley in 1992, Valerie worked at the Phoenician Resort in Accounting & Marketing before finding Nathan & Associates, Inc. in 1995.
A member of MSU Alumni Association and an active volunteer for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, Valerie resides in Scottsdale with her husband and young daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys running, biking, hiking, tennis, cooking and traveling.
April A. Williams
Associate
April Williams joined Nathan & Associates, Inc. in April 1997. She is an Arizona native and an ASU graduate. April is responsible for researching and compiling submarket analysis reports of the greater Phoenix Metropolitan area. She lives in Scottsdale and recently began volunteering with Maggie’s Place, a non-profit organization that provides housing and education for pregnant women alone or on the street.
Jennifer L. Nuss

Jennifer is responsible for the compiling and distributing of marketing packages and property information. This Stockton, California, transplant earned her BA in Communication from Arizona State University in 1997, and joined Nathan & Associates, Inc. in October of that year.
Jennifer volunteers her time helping the Scottsdale League for the Arts. She resides in Scottsdale with her husband and two children. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys swimming and entering triathlons.
Lauren M. Heineman
Associate
Lauren Heineman joined Nathan & Associates, Inc. as a Research Associate in June 2008. Her main focus is to analyze market trends by assimilating data of land and lot values, throughout Arizona and Nevada. Through the application of current research tools, Lauren is able to compile and distribute land and lot comparables from both current and historical data to various homebuilders, lending institutions and investors. Prior to joining Nathan & Associates, Inc., Lauren was a Project Coordinator with a national homebuilder, where she worked in the Land Development department. In this role she gained invaluable experience on what it takes to entitle and bring to market, large master plan communities.
Lauren graduated with honors from ASU in 2005, with an emphasis in Business and Communication. Lauren currently serves as a mentor with local organizations, where she works to support “at risk” teens to change their current life path.
Kim K. Benson
Associate
A graduate from Arizona State University earning a BA in Business Communication, Kim is the newest member to join Nathan & Associates, Inc. in 2008. While developing and growing relationships with clients, she assists in facilitating and organizing data for master-planned communities and current projects; tracks foreclosure properties; and assists with the compilation and distribution of the company marketing packages. Kim is a native Arizonan and resides in Scottsdale. In her free time, she is an avid snowboarder, loves sports, spending time with family, traveling, and volunteering for various charitable organizations.
